This was a really different kind of wedding in pretty much every way. They had decided on having a wedding in teepees that was really fun and relaxed with a real party atmosphere that reminded them of a festival…and Wedstock was born!
The majority of the planning was done by Don, to the point where most of the fabulous details, such as the ice cream van and the bouncy castle, were completely unknown to Laura. In his words it was almost like ‘don’t tell the bride!’. His plan was to arrange and give Laura the best wedding ever as a gift to her. There was lots of live music from friends singing, to a steel band, an acoustic duo and Don also arranged for one of Lauras favourite singers, Jose Vanders, to sing her song ‘New Ride’ as their first dance song. Don, really did surpass himself and nothing was missed out. The couples friends and family pulled out the stops to help with decorating and arranging and really did make it the amazing day it was.
They took over the large field at North Hill Farm in Hertfordshire, an amazing venue with the most stunning views. It was the perfect spot, and what made it even better was that Laura & Don got to stay in the intimate little tree house lodge on the night of the wedding.
Many of their guests camped, the music went on into the small hours and in true festival style we did have some rain, some sunshine and everything in between. Laura was inspired by 40′s and 50′s fashion and style for her dress & hair and that of her bridesmaids. I think you will see from the photos that it was an amazing day.
A huge thanks to Laura and Don for asking me to photograph their awesome wedding. It was so much fun and I really did love every minute of it.
Here are the details of some of those involved in making the day what it was:

Of course, all of the friends and family who made it all possible.
Thanks
